“Rock On, Beethoven,” Deutsch’s 2019 holiday party, was located at the famous Troubadour in West Hollywood, California. The theme and visual identity of this party was all about music: rock and roll, hip-hop, jazz, disco, and even Beethoven (an ode to the street that Deutsch resides on). The visual identity is inspired by the Troubadour’s three “T’s” and 1960s punk posters. It features a confident color palette, bold typography, and energetic patterns with a zap of humor (see: Ludwig on the keytar). Partygoers dressed in sequins, velvet, fringe, and fur drank and danced the night away with live band karaoke and had nostalgic portraits taken by Tom’s One Hour Photo.
