Idea
Every Christmas morning, millions of adults wake up to the unfortunate reality that they’re not the kid version of themself waking up on Christmas morning. Recapturing the nostalgia of holiday wonder was the inspiration for the Wonderbox: our holiday-themed vending machine stocked with curated mystery gifts.
Execution
With our curated, hand-wrapped gifts and seasonally-themed set described as “hella-artsy meets Price is Right,” we invited viewers to “step up” to the machine and choose their gift via a 1-hour instagram live stream hosted by our team. To break up the button-pushing action, we incorporated teachable moments for the audience where Curiosity employees showcased their range of expertise with segments like 30-second salsa lessons and emergency wine-stain removal. Once the show was over, we shipped our gifts and encouraged our 50 participants to post about their curiosities once they received them — leading to new followers, fans, consultant relationships, and love from industry press (AdAge, Campaign US, Little Black Book).
